M O D E M n o t e s issue 2.02
-------------------------------
MODEMnotes is an electronic magazine for Macintosh and online enthusiasts. It uses a program called Museum to bring color graphics and sound to your Macintosh as a standalone document (i.e. no additional software is required to view MODEMnotes in all its glory). It is recommended, however, that you have 8-bit (256) color or grayscale graphics to run MODEMnotes. It will run in B&W, but the graphics will be difficult to make out.
This issue of MODEMnotes is the largest yet, with more graphics, sounds, and feature articles than ever before. Included in this issue:
*Reviews of "Barney Blaster: The Game" and "Marathon"
*The Top 11 Things People Think the '95' in Windows 95 Stands For
*The skinny on MODEMnotes new Online Center via the World Wide Web!
*And more!

Subscription & Publication Information
-----------------------------------
MODEMnotes is a non-profit publication, but is shareware in some respects. This e-zine relies on contributions from readers, both in the form of articles/cartoons and monetary contributions. If you'd like to be published, please send a Macintosh/online related article or cartoon to Cholland on AOL or to <5088801@mcimail.com>. If you'd like to receive MODEMnotes in your AOL or Internet mailbox when it first comes out, please send $5 (or whatever amount you think a year's subscription is worth) to:
Chris Holland
717 Kihapai Place #8
Kailua, Hawaii 96734
The advantage to subscribing is that you'll receive MODEMnotes at least a week in advance of those who download it from the AOL Mac Communications forum or other places on the Internet, because it usually takes some time between my initial upload of MODEMnotes and its availability for download. The other advantage is the warm glow you'll get inside when you remember that you helped MODEMnotes to survive to see another issue.

Redistribution
-------------
Please redistribute MODEMnotes to your local BBSes, favorite ftp sites, user groups, etc. I want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy the magazine. If you do, however, please be sure to include the entire archive, including this README file.

Contacting the Editor
-------------------
I always welcome your comments, ideas, questions, etc. about MODEMnotes. Please send them either to Cholland on AOL or to <5088801@mcimail.com> on the Internet. Please note that I've had some trouble receiving mail at the MCIMail account from AOL, so if you have an AOL account, please send your mail to Cholland. Thanks.
